Leading employers are recognising the links between money and mental health and the fact that financial wellbeing is one of the biggest causes of stress and anxiety in the workplace.
Most of us didn’t learn the basics around money at school so are often left to learn by our own mistakes.
Access to money related education is becoming a core employee benefit helping workforces navigate life’s financial journey and the inevitable up and downs it can throw at us.
Financial Education can build understanding and confidence, healthier relationships with money, financial resilience, better mental health and overall wellbeing.
It can also help increase engagement with existing employee benefits and our recent data is showing a positive impact in reducing absenteeism, improving focus, productivity and even retention.
In certain high risk sectors such as construction, manufacturing and transport, we’re also seeing this can have a direct impact on health and safety.

From our research providers may charge between £3-6 per employee, per month.
FinWELL offer pilot’s from less than £1,000 and you can then build up to our training and support programmes from less than £1 per employee, per month.
There are quite a few options though as we have a strict one-size-fits-no-one approach with employers of various sizes and sectors spending between £1,000-£50,000!
To get things going, we normally suggest an initial pilot that can start from as little as £950 + vat.
This can include a kick off launch workshop to introduce financial wellbeing and our team to your people while completing our FinWELL Money Scores & FinWELL Goals evaluation exercise to gather data and insights for future support.
It can also include other online or in-person training including group workshops and 1-1 sessions and even CPD Certified FinWELL Champion Training to up-skill key people, leaders, managers, wellbeing and mental health champions internally.
Employers can then opt for our annual core support from less than as £1 per employee, per month or our bespoke enhanced support.
We’re happy to design longer programmes over 24/36 months for employers who want to demonstrate even more commitment to employees and may want to lock in our prices.
Individual 60 minute group workshops online start from £750 + vat, 30 minute 1-1 sessions online come in blocks of 10 for £750 + vat and we can offer bespoke half and full day training for £1,250 + vat or £1,950 + vat.

We’re proud to have three unique selling points:
A human-first training approach
Nothing to sell employees just training, education, guidance and support
The chance to pilot our services first and experience FinWELL building a long-term relationship.
Most organisations that offer an element of financial education are either tech-based selling access to a platform, app or digital solution or product-based who ultimately have a financial product to sell.
It was important to our early clients that FinWELL offered a human based, training service with no products to sell and no advice to give.
This helps us create psychologically safe spaces for employees to learn and talk about money and break down barriers and stigma’s without any fear of being sold to.
We’ve learn’t that employers can often benefit from initial pilot programmes giving them a chance to measure financial wellbeing across their workforces, evaluate employee needs and experience the quality and effectiveness of any service before making any further investment or commitment.
This has helped our team build trust and confidence with employees and ultimately offer data driven and effective support with practical and measurable outcomes.

We’re extremely excited to share this!
A number of clients asked us to offer some initial training to cover basic financial education (that we don’t learn at school) for their apprentices and young adults as part of their talent attraction, early careers and onboarding process.
We put together a pilot (in true FinWELL style) and has amazing learners from the likes of Aston Martin, Bovis, Birmingham University, Coca-Cola, Devon, Cornwall & Dorset Police, Lloyds Banking Group, Skanska, Vinci and many more.
The feedback was brilliant and it’s now part of our flagship training and CPD Certified.
Individual places are just £95 + vat per person and employers can have 6-20 places on a bespoke basis that can bring the price per head down to just £62.50 + vat.
It’s only two hours online or in-person as part of a half/full day site visit.

This is a huge area for our clients and so we have developed some CPD Certified Training to maximise understanding, confidence and engagement.
We piloted the training with the University of Birmingham which generated very positive feedback with practical outcomes and measurable actions.
This also demonstrated collaboration with their internal pension departments and pension provider (Legal & General).

Many of our clients have already invested in mental health, neurodiversity, menopause and other training for key employees, leaders, managers and wellbeing champion networks internally.
We were asked to design and deliver training that could also help when it comes to spotting the signs of poor financial wellbeing, how to have empathetic conversations around money and also effectively signpost back to existing employee benefits and other relevant resources.
It was important to our clients that this training was time sensitive due to their work schedules, had both online, digital and human elements with a way for attendees to ‘put their own oxygen mask on first’ so to speak and also offer ongoing training and support with a community and peer to peer feel.
After piloting for around 9 months, we launched our CPD Certified FinWELL Champion®️Training in January 2024.
We have now trained over 500+ FinWELL Champions®️at workplaces across the UK and have implemented a train the trainer model with 20+ FinWELL Instructors on a global basis.
We also partnered up with Mental Health First Aid England and the R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity to create a free (and now award nominated!) campaign for all workplaces to link our training around money, mental health and suicide awareness.

You can of course offer 1-1 support to all employees however we’ve learnt that leading with this is not the best approach.
Your employees will all have different needs and many will not want, need or even understand what a 1-1 session can offer.
For this reason we believe that 1-1 sessions are a fantastic part of any wider financial education and wellbeing strategy but shouldn’t be offered as the main benefit or in isolation.
We also see a big spike in 1-1 bookings off the back of our monthly online masterclasses and bespoke group workshops.

FinWELL Trainers have a unique combination of industry qualifications and personal lived experience.
Some of our specialists may have worked within the financial services sector with specific qualifications.
They will all have been through our FinWELL Awareness and CPD Certified Champion Training so that they can answer your money related questions and help you achieve your personal FinWELL goals and challenges.
It’s important to know that they will not be selling, promoting, endorsing or recommending any regulated products, services or providers and offer education and guidance with the ability to signpost to relevant resources and existing employee benefits.

We are a training provider offering education, guidance and support so do not have any products to sell and do not promote, endorse or recommend any regulated provider or service or give any financial advice.
This puts employees minds at rest knowing they are not going to be sold to or have products promoted to them at any stage.
We do however recognise that some employees may have advice needs and be ready to explore the advice process.
We can in this instance either signpost employees back to an employers existing benefits and providers or to trusted options and comparison websites.

We’re passionate about empowering you and your colleagues to a healthier relationship with money and better mental health too.
We also created the #FinancialWellbeingMonth campaign linking money, mental health and suicide prevention for all workplaces in collaboration with Mental Health First Aid England and the R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity.

A comprehensive financial wellbeing strategy will include many elements such as fair pay and reward, polices and procedures, employee benefits and wellbeing.
FinWELL specialise in linking financial education and mental wellbeing.
We have been lucky enough to have won an award for our ongoing work with Hays on a global basis and have created a free guide for employers.
The FinWELL Philosophy is simply to help employees evaluate, educate and empower themselves to healthier relationships with money.
A big challenge to this is that we all have different needs based on our age, income, family situations, stage of life and personal situation.
This has led us to develop a range of support based on our clients needs which includes:
Evaluation and measuring financial wellbeing through FinWELL Money Scores, personal FinWELL Goals and Areas of Focus.
Education from digital content, online or in-person group workshops, 1-1 sessions, internal upskilling through FinWELL Champion Training.
This can then be linked to mental health support and all other areas of employee wellbeing.

Financial Wellbeing and ‘talking about money’ is such a sensitive area and taboo for so many people.
It’s therefore so important to choose your FinWELL partners and providers wisely.
The three key steps you need to take are evaluating what your people want and need, making this available to them and then reviewing what’s worked to maximise impact.
We’ve learnt that the best way to do this is to start small.
Rather than a huge procurement process, consider running a few smaller pilots to find the best provider for you that can develop a more comprehensive FinWELL Strategy over time in line with your people’s needs and of course your budget.
That’s how we work and FinWELL and would be delighted to explore options with you.

It’s important to us and many of our clients that our work maximises impact for their employees and the business as a whole but also their supply chain and local community too.
For this reason we teamed up with the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) and CAF Bank creating an account that can ring-fence a percentage of fees generated for special projects and causes.
Get in touch to tell us about the projects involved in your approach to ESG and CSR and let’s explore ways we can make a difference together?
