about the speaker
Ryan share’s his unique life experiences around money and mental health to educate, entertain, empower and inspire others while also raising awareness and money for selected charities.
Enjoying early success by winning the FA Youth Cup with West Ham United and becoming a professional football player at 18, Ryan faced the all too common challenge of ‘not making it’ in his chosen career and having to start over. Undeterred, Ryan has gone to create an award-winning financial education and wellbeing training company working with 100+ employers on a global basis openly sharing his personal challenges navigating life, work and family as a man, husband, father and business owner.
Ryan is part of the Global Workplace Wellbeing Initiative and helped set up the not for profit, community interest company ‘Financial Welling Within Sport’. He also contributed the financial wellbeing chapter to the #1 Amazon Best Selling Book ‘52 Weeks of Wellbeing’ by Ryan Hopkins now published and translated in over 230 countries and territories.
He is a mental health first aider and proud ambassador of the R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity. Together with the founder of the R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity - Alice Hendy MBE, they created the free #FinancialWellbeingMonth campaign to link money, mental health and suicide prevention training for all workplaces and is now in it’s third year.
