We’re delighted to get behind the mindWELL initiative encouraging employers to add workplace counselling credits to their existing mental health support.
This is a collaboration with Mid Kent Mind offering a fast-track, flexible, cost-effective and measurable way to compliment your existing provision and help to meet the increasing demand for your teams.
Counselling Session Credits
Employers simply purchase counselling session ‘credits’ offering your employees anonymous access to trusted and immediate support only paying for the support that is used in-line with your budget.
All payments (from just £75 per session for employers), bookings and delivery go through Mid Kent Mind and all Counsellors are qualified through BACP - British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Employers purchasing Counselling Sessions via the mindWELL Initiative can also get access to other funded, part-funded or discounted services including Financial Health Awareness Training, CPD Certified FinWELL Champion®️Training and Suicide Awareness Training.
This initiative is part of the #FinancialWellbeingMonth campaign in collaboration with Mental Health First Aid England, FinWELL Training and R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity.

Demand for mental health support is on the increase and many existing solutions were not designed for this.
Employers find it hard to know what works and what offers value for money.
Workplace Counselling Credits offers anonymous, flexible and fast-track support for employees that can be out of hours.
This can be an ideal option for SMEs and also to compliment existing EAPs and other mental health support.

Counselling sessions will be delivered through Mid-Kent Mind by BACP qualified Counsellors.
This is after a assessment of needs has been completed by staff at Mid-Kent Mind to ensure the most suitable and appropriate support is made available.

The team at Mid Kent Mind will provide a referral link where employers can choose how many sessions need to be allocated to a specific employee.

Counselling sessions start from £75 per session and can be booked in blocks of twelve with twelve being the minimum number.

This is completely up to you but the minimum is 12 and we suggest blocks of twelve.
The average number of sessions used per person is around 12 so this could be a starting point but a long-term view should be taken when it comes to counselling support.

Payment is made to the Mid-Kent Mind Charity (possibly as part of your corporate social responsibility) and in return you will receive the allocated number of counselling sessions.

You will be allocated an account manager who will liaise with you regularly to keep track of usage and make you aware of any other training or support services available.

You can liaise with your Account Manager at Mid-Kent Mind and consider adding more credits.
It is important to understand that counselling offers support over the medium to long-term and therefore factor in appropriate support for your people.
